2010 Employee of the Year – Sarah Easter

The THC President and Directors would like to announce Sarah Easter has been selected as the 2010 Employee of the Year for her outstanding effort in managing the Charlotte office and North Carolina projects after the retirement of Don McCallum (2007 EOY). Sarah’s sunny disposition and sincere desire to grow our business helped put her in front of the other nominated employees. Her jade crystal engraved award sums it up “In recognition of your sincere dedication and devotion to clients, homeowners and subconsultants participating in numerous land acquisition projects, as well as your eagerness to manage the Charlotte office, THC, Inc. would like to thank you for "doing whatever it takes" to be an exceptional employee. You have truly made a difference in the continued success of this company.”

Sarah received $1,000 worth of Visa gift cards as a token of appreciation for her efforts.  With the purchase of a new house, her EOY monetary award comes at just the right time! Thank you, Sarah, for a job well done!

2010 President's AwardSteve Vecchi

Steve Vecchi received the President’s Award this year to acknowledge his 11 years of distinguished efforts in leading the Sound Insulation Services division of the company. Through his leadership and incessant drive for perfection, Steve has revolutionized sound insulation programs across the country and is recognized as one of the top experts in the field of sound insulation. Steve is managing four active THC programs with 24 employees and is serving as a topic expert on several Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) oversight panels with the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies. President Joe Carroll presented Steve with a replica World War I airplane propeller and $1,000 gift card. Congratulations, Steve!

2009 President's Award - Lynn Green

As the first recipient to receive the President’s Award since 2000, Lynn Green received the President’s Award in 2009 for her unyielding efforts to strengthen the land acquisition division of THC. Since joining THC in 2005, Lynn has demonstrated an unquenchable thirst for learning everything about the principles of land acquisition and federal regulations. She has completed more than 20 International Right of Way Association classes, and earned certifications as a Senior Member Right of Way Associate (SR/WA), Uniform Relocation Act (R/W-URAC), Negotiation/Acquisition (R/W-NAC), Relocation Assistance (R/W-RAC) and Floodplain Manager. In addition, her prior management experience has given her the tools to streamline our acquisition operations and improve productivity from her 17 employees. Under Lynn’s encouragement, most of our acquisition agents have earned IRWA and Floodplain Manager Certifications. President Joe Carroll presented Lynn with a beautiful lead crystal vase and $1,000 gift card. Thank you, Lynn, for serving as an inspiration to others!

Different from the Employee of the Year, the President’s Award is given to an individual in the company that has exceeded the expectations of the President in the performance of his or her job. It is an opportunity for the President to recognize that person for outstanding effort and contributions during the year, and has been awarded only three times in the company’s 17 year history.
